Ekonomik düşünce tarihi, modern iktisat teorisine hâkim olan rasyonel insan modelinin ötesinde, ekonomik aktiviteyi ahlaki bir çerçevede değerlendiren tarihsel sistemleri de içerir. Bu makale, Ahilik ve Püritanizm gibi iki farklı etik-ekonomik sistemin şekillendirdiği insan tiplerini karşılaştırmalı olarak ele alarak, bu sistemlerin ekonomik davranış üzerindeki etkilerini analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır.
Araştırma, her iki sistemin tarihsel, felsefi ve teolojik kökenleri üzerine yapılan kapsamlı bir literatür taraması ve bu sistemlerin değerlerini derinlemesine analiz eden kavramsal analiz yöntemlerini kullanmaktadır. Bu yöntemlerle, Ahilik ve Püritanizm’in temel değerleri tespit edilmiş, bu değerlerin felsefi ve ahlaki anlamları ile aralarındaki ilişkiler ortaya konulmuştur. Ayrıca, her bir sistemin sahip olduğu bu değerler, SWOT analizi ile değerlendirilerek, günümüz dünyası için taşıdıkları güçlü ve zayıf yönler ile sundukları fırsat ve tehditler tartışmaya açılmaktadır.
Çalışmanın bulguları, farklı ahlaki temellere dayanan ekonomik sistemlerin birey davranışlarını nasıl şekillendirdiğini ve bu davranışların toplumsal yaşama yönelik sonuçlarını nasıl farklılaştırdığını göstermektedir. Bu yaklaşım, ekonomik davranışların ardındaki ahlaki ve kültürel dinamikleri anlamamızı sağlayarak, farklı kültürlerin sahip olduğu değerlerin toplumsal yaşama yansımalarını yorumlamaya yönelik literatüre kavramsal bir katkı sunmaktadır.

Economic Behavior Models Shaped by Ethical Systems: A Comparative Study of Akhism Ethic and Puritanism Ethic
Abstract
Beyond the rational human model that dominates modern economic theory, the history of economic thought also encompasses historical systems that appraise economic activity through a moral framework. Therefore, this article comparatively examines the human models shaped by the Akhism Ethic and the Puritanism Ethic to analyze how these systems influence economic behavior.
This study begins by conducting a comprehensive literature review on the historical, philosophical, and theological origins of both systems. This is followed by a conceptual analysis to deeply examine their core values. This methodology allowed for the identification of the fundamental values of the Akhism Ethic and the Puritanism Ethic, revealing their philosophical and moral meanings and the relationships among them. Furthermore, a SWOT analysis of these values is conducted to initiate a discussion on the strengths and weaknesses they possess, along with the opportunities and threats they offer for the present-day world.
The findings of this study show how economic systems based on different moral foundations shape individual behaviors and how the social consequences of these behaviors differ.
