BİR MESLEKÎ MEKTEP MECMUASINDA AHİLİĞİN İZLERİ: ÇIRAK MEKTEPLERİ MECMUASI

ÖZET

Osmanlı Devleti’nde çıraklık eğitimi, ahi teşkilatı vasıtasıyla gerçekleşmiştir. Ahi zaviyelerinde hem meslek öğretilmiş hem de ahlak eğitimi verilmiştir. Ancak zaman içinde ahi teşkilatının işleyişindeki bozulmalar ve haricî faktörlerle (ekonomik şartlar, rekabet gücünün kaybı vb.) çıraklık eğitimi sürdürülememiştir. Osmanlı siyaset adamları, Batı’ya karşı kaybedilen üstünlüğün temelinde askerî ve teknik açıdan geri kalmışlık olduğunu düşünerek XVIII. yüzyıl itibariyle meslekî ve teknik okullar açmışlardır. Bunu, Tanzimat döneminde açılan modern eğitim kurumları takip etmiştir. Meşrutiyet ile başlayan dönemde ise çok sayıda ve pek çok alanda okul açılmasına rağmen, bunların bazıları maddi gerekçelerle kapatılmıştır. Bunlardan biri de meslekî eğitim veren ve kalifiye ara iş gücü yetiştirmeyi hedefleyen çırak mektepleridir.

TRACES OF AHILIK IN A VOCATIONAL SCHOOL’S JOURNAL: ÇIRAK MEKTEPLERİMECMUASI

 

ABSTRACT

Apprenticeship training was done by the Akhi organization during the periof of Ottoman State. The professinoal training and moral education both was given by Akhis lodges. However, over time, the deterioration in the functioning of the Akhi organization and external causes (economic conditions, loss of competitive power, etc.) did not sustain apprenticeship training. Vocational and technical schools were oppened by the Ottoman politicians in the 18th century. The reason of this is that the military and technical deterioration of the state bodies which weakend it against the West. This was followed by the modern educational institutions opened during the Tanzimat period. Despite opening numerous schools in the verious fields induring First Constitutional Period, some of them were closed for economic reasons. One of these is apprenticeship schools that aim to provide vocational education and intermediate workforce.
